There is no guaranteed way to determine how long your canvas photo will last since how and where you display and store your artwork will ultimately affect its condition over time.
The factors that affect the life expectancy of a printed canvas photo are the canvas, the ink used, sealer, framing, and environment.
There is a rating system, called DPR (display permanence rating), based on a series of standardized tests developed by Wilhelm Imaging Research Inc. Their research has determined that a photograph printed on a high quality canvas using high quality inks and then sealed with a high quality sealer will last between 60-142 years without visible distortion when displayed or stored in a typical home environment.
Print Your Canvas uses canvas and inks rated as archival and we use sealer that completely encapsulates the ink, protecting it from ozone and UV damage, and making it water resistant.
